The canopies were made in three different sizes to fit 10m, 12m and 18m diameter geodesic dome structures. Each size was made from detailed drawings, we worked closely with the client to achieve the correct dimensions for each canopy.
A series of PVC fabric panels were welded together to create sections that were then connected together with eyelets and lacing to form the geodesic dome canopy. We used 680gsm PVC fabric for the cover, this fabric is waterproof and fire retardant. Its lacquered finish makes it easy to clean. Clear PVC windows were welded into the wall sections and let in plenty of light.
The impressive 10m frame was assembled in our field, just outside our Gloucestershire factory for us to check the final fit of the canopy before it signing off. It fitted perfectly and we were able to manufacture the other two sizes without difficulty.
