The client required a 5.1m long x 2.1m wide x 2.5m high bespoke cover to protect a valuable display generator during transportation on a flatbed trailer. We decided to make two covers to loosely fit the same shape of the generator for complete protection.
The protective inner generator cover was made in soft and breathable 180g/m² green membrane fabric to protect the high-quality finish/paintwork on the generator. The bottom edge had a 50mm single hem all round. The rear corners opened with a Velcro fastening to aid fitting.
We also supplied a heavy-duty outer PVC fabric cover. This was made to the same shape of the inner generator cover but also included webbing loops to enable cover to be mechanically lifted into position.
